Look at this cast: Karen Black, Sid Haig, Bai Ling, Traci Lords (pictured), and Meg Foster join the new film by director Edward G. Norris (Death-Defying Acts) called Go Straight to Hell.

Here’s the plot: “Four recently deceased characters who find themselves in Purgatory awaiting a sin cleansing so that they may enter Heaven. They have been gathered to review and relive the ONE sin which they have failed to repent while on earth, that is so heinous, it may send them straight to hell. The film is composed of four horror vignettes with a wrap around story of their spiritual guide. But nothing is what it seems as these people may be misrepresenting themselves.”

Who isn’t down for a new horror anthology? Exactly!

Asylum to release Princess of Mars

Those crazy mocksters at The Aslyum are at it again as a poster and trailer for Princess of Mars has been uncovered. According to the trailer the novel by Edgar Rice Burroughs was the inspiration for James Cameron’s Avatar. It doesn’t look too bad and reminds me of a modern version of those Hercules films with Lou Ferrigno. Look for the DVD on December 29.

Synopsis: In this modern adaptation of the classic Edgar Rice Burroughs novel, US soldier John Carter finds himself inexplicably transported to Mars in the middle of a war between two alien races.
