Gaga and John will be adding their musical talents to Disney’s Gnomeo and Juliet, which is being produced by John and David Furnish. The track will be called “Hello, Hello”, and will be sung during Gnomeo (James McAvoy) and Juliet (Emily Blunt) first meet. It’s good to see that fans of both can finally see a duet as their performance at the Grammy’s was highly praised, and this has been anticipated since. Lady Gaga is also rumored to be singing the theme to Bond 23 (here), but that deal may have fallen flat since its delay.

Gnomeo and Juliet will open on February 11, 2011.

No matter how old you are, you never get over high school.  Successful PR pro Marni (Kristen Bell) heads home for her older brother’s (Jimmy Wolk) wedding and discovers that he’s marrying her high school arch nemesis (Odette Yustman), who’s conveniently forgotten all the rotten things she did so many years ago.  Then the bride’s jet-setting aunt (Sigourney Weaver) bursts in and Marni’s not-so-jet-setting mom (Jamie Lee Curtis) comes face to face with her own high school rival.  The claws come out and old wounds are opened in this crazy comedy about what happens when you’re reunited with the one person you’d like to forget.

An ambitious young New Yorker (Kristen Bell), disillusioned with romance, takes a whirlwind trip to Rome, where she defiantly plucks magic coins from a fountain of love, inexplicably igniting the passion of an odd group of suitors.

The strangest thing about this situation is that not only was the original cast lined up to end up being in this picture again but the top reason why it got scrapped. Even though the feature was under Disney’s Touchstone Pictures, the understanding in the community is that getting a production start on a Mouse House film will be a huge challenge if it doesn’t squarely fit the Disney family branded model (Variety).

With the word ‘bachelor’ in the title of the now-dead film, you had to assume that a little bit of bachelor party would have some what been pushing it for Disney. Then again it makes you wonder what Rich Ross really has in store for Disney.

In the sci-fi action-adventure, Hugh Jackman will play an ex-fighter who becomes a promoter when human boxing is outlawed for being too violent. The new gladiators are 2,000-pound robots with human qualities. The ex-fighter’s access to sub-standard robot parts hampers his hopes for glory in Robot Boxing, until he discovers a discarded robot that always seems to win. The ex-fighter has also discovered he’s the father of a 13-year old son, and they bond as the robot brawls its way toward the top (Coming Soon).

Once again, the feature is based off of a short story created by Richard Matheson with Stacey Snider and Steven Spielberg acting as executive producers.

Script for “Apaches” will be loosely based on the gritty crime novel that revolves around a group of retired New York City cops who form a renegade unit to bring down the most vicious criminals in Gotham (Variety). The novel was written by Lorenzo Carcaterra who also wrote novels such as “Sleepers” and “Chasers”.
