The Avengers opens on May 4th, 2012.

It opens on Christmas 2012, as a German dentist-turned bounty hunter (played by Christoph Waltz) and freed slave Django (played by Jamie Foxx) seek to free Django’s wife from her powerful owner.

Okay, we know that already. What we didn’t know is that Nick Fury (Sam L. Jackson) has been recruiting other characters from other movies in this hilarious spoof of the end credits commonly seen in Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America from College Humor. Fury is seen in The Social Network, Black Swan, and Paranormal Activity. Check it out:

“Warner Home Video has announced a Blu-ray release of Deep Blue Sea for October 12th. Retail will be around $24.98. Extras will include commentary by Samuel L. Jackson and Director Renny Harlin, featurettes (“When Sharks Attack”, “The Sharks of Deep Blue Sea”), deleted scenes with optional director commentary, and the theatrical trailer.”

Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg take a crack at it in Columbia Pictures new film The Other Guys. The two came to Comic-Con with actress Eva Mendes and writer/director Adam McKay to promote the movie, and if the chemistry and laughs they displayed at the press conference are any indication of what is in store, then audiences are in for a hoot and a half come August 6.

How much of the movie was scripted and how much was improvised?

Adam McKay: For our bond company we have to give them the exact percentages, so we brought in an actuary who broke it down and this movie was 14.3789% improvised and the rest was scripted. That would be eighty-five percent scripted. It’s about fifteen to twenty percent improvised. We goof around within the scenes while the overall story structure roughly stays the same.

How did you keep up with Will Ferrell?

Mark Wahlberg: I think it was the other way around actually. It really is kind of the same approach in terms of whether it’s a drama or a comedy. We both just had the same philosophy to treat the characters if it’s real, be earnest in every moment, and we’re never winking at the camera so within that we had the same philisophy and it was very easy to improvise with each other.

How was it working with two sexy men like Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg?

Eva Mendes: It’s very unprofessional to objectify these men like this.

Will Ferrell: I like my actress’ to be pumped for the scene so we had weights on the set and all of us were shirtless and lifting weights. There were a lot of growth hormones on the set.

Eva Mendes: I have to talk to these guys later on and I can’t really expose what I find sexy about them.

Will Ferrell: There is no sex appeal in any of us except for maybe Mark.

Will Ferrell: No. I’m glad you are excited about it even though it’s never going to happen. Please pester Paramount Pictures to make the right decision. Please pester Paramount Pictures. It is great to be back in the ‘Whale’s Vagina’.

Mark Wahlberg: I have no experience whatsoever.

Will Ferrell: I grew up in a tough neighborhood in Irvine, California and I once got a bicycle ticket from Irvine Police Department for not coming to a complete stop at a stop sign. My other encounter with law enforcement is getting pulled over in Los Angeles in my Prius for doing fifty in a thirty-five. That’s it for me.

How did you get into shape for this role?

Eva Mendes: Physically? I went old school and took out the old Jane Fonda’s workout. I hate working out but I have to do it, so I go to the gym and do weights and run and all of that stupid shit I have to do to stay employed as an actress. I had a trainer who bugged the shit out of Will. It’s the usual stuff.

Which Funny or Die sketch do you wish you could have been in?

Eva Mendes: Can I take that one? The Marion Cotillard thing, you guys. Why didn’t you think Mendes when you thought of that? I got a little envious. What’s it called, the boob thing?

Will Ferrell: Forehead titties.

Eva Mendes: I would hope you guys would think forehead titties when you think Mendes. Apparently you think Cotillard.

Will Ferrell: We didn’t think you had the chops for it. We were looking for a real top notch actress who could pull it off. Someone who is voluptuous. You’re not very voluptuous.

Eva Mendes: That was amazing by the way.

Great Comic-Con story

Will Ferrell: I was here with William Shatner about five years ago. He travels in his own motor home and we decided to go south of the border. We got a bunch of peyote and we threw our watches to the sea and we spent about three weeks down there. Just me and Bill Shatner. That was fun. That happened.

Most undderrated buddy cop film

Mark Wahlberg: Cop Out.

Will Ferrell: One False Move doesn’t count as a cop buddy movie, does it? That’s a great movie. The Omega Man. The Buddy Holly Story. Does that count as a buddy cop movie? That was underrated.

Eva Mendes: Underrated? I’m going to take a beat and be serious about my answer and do some self promoting as well. A movie Mark Wahlberg and I were in called We Own the Night and I thought it was incredibly underrated.

Mark Wahlberg: Thank you but it wasn’t like a buddy cop film.

Eva Mendes: It was. It was just a drama buddy cop film.

Mark Wahlberg: We were brothers and we didn’t like each other. My dad died and I got shot in the face.

Eva Mendes: Mark, were there cops in the film?

Mark Wahlberg: There were cops.

Eva Mendes: Were some of them buddies?

Mark Wahlberg: Some of them were.

Eva Mendes: I’d like to say just one thing in all seriousness. I’ve actually never had as much fun as I had on this film. I was encouraged to just be funny. I love these guys a lot.

Adam McKay: I know I speak for Will when I say shooting this movie with this amazing cast definitely ranks in our top thirty experiences we’ve ever had.

Eva Mendes: [Laughs] An amazing experience.
