Winona Ryder is in negotiations to be part of Darren Aronofsky’s latest project Black Swan. If casted into the feature, she will star alongside Mila Kunis and Natalie Portman. The script, co-written by Aronofsky and Mark Heyman, is the second collaborative effort between the two since Heyman co-produced on the Mickey Rourke starring film The Wrestler. Set in the New York ballet world, the story centers on a veteran dancer (Portman) and a rival (Kunis) who are tangled in a manipulative relationship, but it’s unclear whether the rival is real or a figment of the ballet dancer’s imagination (Variety).

The film will be distributed under Fox Searchlight Pictures and is under Overnight Films. Ryder will next appear in the Michael Polish film Stay Cool and recently was part of the cast of the newest Star Trek movie.

One Scene Sparks Major Interest in Black Swan

So far we haven’t heard much about the upcoming Black Swan, a psychological thriller staring Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis. The film is about two competing ballerinas who may turn out to be the same person. It was written by Mark Heyman from an original script by John McLaughlin, and will be directed by Darren Aronofsky.

Today, this fairly unheard-of and not-yet-made film is gaining major popularity points, after a script review was posted yesterday by Script Shadow. The scene that is getting everyone’s attention involves Portman and Kunis having sex. According the review, “not just nice sweet innocent sex either. We’re talking ecstasy-induced hungry aggressive angry sex.” Apparently the script has an interesting story but is very slow-moving. I’m guessing hearing about this scene will draw many movie-goers (read: guys) to this film.
