The weather is acting cuckoo for cocoa puffs and the world is discombobulated as the end of days seem to be on the horizon when an apocalyptic force comes to town whose zip code used to be 90210. A husband [Steve Bacic] and wife [Lauren Holly] are visited by a stranger named Silas [Luke Perry], a man who has come in from the perfect storm and bears a strange tattoo on his back. After the devastation has cleared, most of civilization has pulled a vanishing act after the blood moon rises and plot holes large enough for semi-trucks to drive through litter the highway.

I would have given my left testicle to have Roland Emmerich blow his nose and have some of his pizaaz make its way to the set of this Uwe Boll catastrophe. Upon first glance, the flick could have played on all of the 2012 hysteria, but instead it is Little House on the Prairie meets The Seventh Sign. Give me that preggo Demi Moore movie from 1988 anyday over this preachy squakfest that plays more like a drama than a straight thriller. The outfit that Luke Perry stuffs himself in made him look like he was hunting for Thanksgiving vittles, but little did he realize that turkey dinner already arrived in the form of this gobbler.

Postal, Rampage, and Seed derailed a few of Uwe Boll’s detractors and made a fan out of me. With The Final Storm, he goes back and pulls another razzie out of his hat with a root canal of a time-waster that will have you grinding your teeth and looking at your watch in misery.

Synopsis: Biblical rain, dying animals, and a blood red moon clearly, all is not well on the quiet farm in the countryside where Tom makes a living with his wife Gillian and their young son Graham.

Before the cable and power goes out, glimpses of weather related catastrophes on a global scale are hinted upon. Amidst these eerie signs, a soft spoken man named Silas stumbles onto their property, sick and cold. Even more disconcerting is how quiet Tom notices everything is… neighbors, cars, birds, crickets, all are nowhere to be seen nor heard.

According to Silas it’s not so much as the beginning of the end, but in fact the end itself, and they’ve been left behind. As Tom goes about things in denial, believing that the flooding rains have simply evacuated the town, he shuts out those closest to him, allowing Silas, perhaps the only other man left alive, to grow closer to the emotionally starved Gillian and Graham. But the unsettling evidence cannot be ignored and Tom struggles with the horrifying truth: maybe it is the apocalypse. The rapture. The end of days. And they’re all that is left of humanity.

As Silas slowly reveals his true colors with his murderous past, and lust for Gillian, the tension between the men builds until an explosive showdown occurs, with Tom defending his family, and fighting for their survival, and perhaps the survival of all mankind.

Now the latest stars to ’star’ in his latest film The storm will include Luke Perry (90210) and Lauren Holly ( Dumb and dumber).

According to the hollywood reporter the film will be : an apocalyptic thriller, in which Holly plays a dedicated wife and mother who must deal with the end of days scenario — all heightened by the arrival of a mysterious stranger named Silas (Perry) who holds the key to the approaching doom

Apparently the petition to get 1 million to sign for Uwe boll to stop making movies was never met.
