Laura Dern could return in Jurassic Park 4

Jurassic Park 4 slowly, but surely seems to be moving forward. Steven Spielberg was last saying the film could be happening in a few years. There’s no way of knowing where the story will go, but Laura Dern revealed that she could be returning in the film. “I hear it’s happening. I think it’s got a ways to go. Steven is about to immerse himself in Lincoln, which is really exciting and something he’s poured his heart and soul into for a long time. I’m so excited because Daniel Day-Lewis is playing Lincoln. Once that’s finished, there’s always been talk that my character is deeply involved in [Jurassic Park 4] somehow, but I haven’t heard yet,” she said to Slate.

Laura Dern had a big role in the original film, and returned in Jurassic Park 3 briefly. It would be great to see her return in a bigger role in the next film.

Keitel joins the Little Fockers

THR reports that actor Harvey Keitel will be the newest addition to the cast of the Paul Weitz film Little Fockers. Keitel joins a cast that includes Ben Stiller, Laura Dern, Jessica Alba, Owen Wilson and many others. The Universal Pictures and Tribeca Productions comedy feature centers on the Focker couple welcoming their first kids into the family. Keitel will play the role of a contractor hired by Stiller’s character. Producing the film will be Jay Roach and Jane Rosenthal.

This feature is in the middle of filming, and Little Fockers will come out in theaters on July 30, 2010. Keitel is also appearing in Wrong Turn at Tahoe which has a to be announced 2010 release date.

Dern teaches some Fockers

Laura Dern is the latest actress to be attached to the upcoming Paul Weitz movie “Little Fockers”. Dern will be playing headmistress of the elementary school that the Fockers’ kids attend (THR). She is one of many that are within the cast, the most recent addition being actress Jessica Alba. A majority of the main cast from the sequel “Meet the Fockers” is back for the third film which includes Ben Stiller, Dustin Hoffman, Barbara Streisand and Robert De Niro just to name a few.

The Tribeca Productions and Universal Pictures film is being produced by Jay Roach and Jane Rosenthal who both produced the first two features in this series. Paul Weitz has been keeping himself busy prior to “Little Fockers”. His most recent cinematic work is “Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant”, written and directed by him, which appears in theaters on October 23rd.
