The Avengers get Pepper Potts

Just how many secondary characters will be in Joss Whedon’s The Avengers? Agent Coulson for sure, but what about Tony Stark’s assistant, Pepper Potts played by Gwyneth Paltrow?

At first, she said her character wasn’t going to appear (here), but several months later, she off-handedly confirmed (here) she would appear, and now Dis Fan Review has confirmed her appearance.

“According to our sources the famous Hollywood leading lady made an extremely quiet entrance into New Mexico on Monday or Tuesday and was said to have definitely departed by Thursday, making an equally quiet exit. A source close to the production say’s that somewhere in that time frame Mrs. [Paltrow] spent two entire days shooting her appearance in the film. Our sources also indicate that her part in the film is more than just a glorified cameo. However, our sources were unwilling to reveal much more than that.”

I guess we will all find out when the film releases worldwide May 4th, 2012.

Steven Soderbergh’s Contagion trailer

We’ve heard bits and pieces about Steven Soderbergh’s latest film Contagion, and today we finally get a good look at the film with the first official trailer getting released. This looks really promising, and personally I now can’t wait. I was excited before and the film was on my radar because of the cast alone but now I’ll definitely be setting aside time for it.

You can watch the embed below, or check out the HD version at Apple here. The film stars Marion Cotillard, Matt Damon, Laurence Fishburne, Jude Law, Gwyneth Paltrow and Kate Winslet.

“Contagion” follows the rapid progress of a lethal airborne virus that kills within days. At the same time, ordinary people struggle to survive in a society coming apart.

Pepper Potts in The Avengers after all?

A good while back, Gwyneth Paltrow said she’s not appearing in Marvel’s The Avengers (here), but now in a recent interview with Obsessed with Film, the actress dropped an interesting hint that maybe Tony will have his Pepper by his side in Joss Whedon’s epic superhero team-up for next May.

“I’ll probably be in Iron Man 3, I’ll possibly be very briefly in the avengers… maybe… we’ll see.”

Sure, that’s not very conclusive, but do you ever expect anything to be when dealing with these huge superhero films?

Don’t get too excited for some grand revelation here. While doing press for her upcoming down-on-her-luck-country-singer-film in Country Strong, actress Gwyneth Paltrow told Collider this about Joss Whedon’s upcoming assemble film, The Avengers. “No, no Pepper.” On if her Iron Man character of Pepper Potts would appear with Tony Stark in The Avengers. She followed up by saying, “I think it’s a for sure. I think they’re starting shooting soon and they probably would have asked me by now.”

Alright, makes sense I guess. Thoughts?

Screen Rant and SuperHeroHype present a couple of new posters for the upcoming Marvel Studios and Paramount Pictures comic book adapted feature Iron Man 2. We get an even better look at the awesome Whiplash, played by Mickey Rourke, and another version of the super awesome Iron Man suit.

The adaptation stars the talents of Robert Downey Jr., Don Cheadle, Gwyneth Paltrow, Mickey Rourke, Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johannson and Sam Rockwell. Iron Man 2 comes out in theaters and IMAX on May 7th.:

Can May 7th come any faster? That’s probably what some of you are, or not, thinking at the moment about Jon Farveau’s Iron Man 2. The awesome people over at /Film present to us several new pictures for the upcoming Jon Farveau directed film Iron Man 2. The Marvel Studios feature stars Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark, the billionaire who outed himself as Iron Man and now is adored by a majority of the public. Now the government wants to take hold of the Iron Man suit, much to Stark’s dismay, and other forces are looking to strike a finishing blow at him now that he’s exposed to all.

All right, so practically ever since they announced that Jon Farveau’s Iron Man 2 was going to be presented in ginormous IMAX theaters, this reporter has constantly been reminding you at the end of each article pertaining to this Marvel hero. Well, what better way to continually bug the hell out of you with it than a brand new trailer for said IMAX experience? That’s right, there’s a brand new trailer specifically for Iron Man 2: The IMAX Experience, which makes it sound even more epic-sounding.

Yahoo! Movies (via Latino Review) reveals three more pictures for the upcoming Marvel Studios film Iron Man 2. We get another look at Mickey Rourke as Whiplash, another cool shot of Iron Man and cameo time for director Jon Farveau.

The cast includes Robert Downey Jr., Don Cheadle, Gwyneth Paltrow, Samuel L. Jackson, Sam Rockwell, Mickey Rourke and Scarlett Johansson. With the world now aware of his dual life as the armored superhero Iron Man, billionaire inventor Tony Stark (Downey Jr.) faces pressure from the government, the press, and the public to share his technology with the military. The Jon Farveau directed piece stars Robert Downey Jr. along with a cast that includes Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Mickey Rourke, Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johansson and Sam Rockwell.
