Movies presents to us the first trailer for the science fiction feature The Adjustment Bureau, directed by George Nolfi. The script, written by Nolfi off the short story “Adjustment Team” by Philip K. Dick, centers on an affair between a politician (Matt Damon) and a ballerina (Emily Blunt) that is affected by mysterious forces keeping the lovers apart.
The Adjustment Bureau is slated for release on September 17th from Universal Pictures. Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think.:

Coming Soon states that two scripts were turned in for the project – a first one by George Nolfi and a second by Josh Zemuter. The site says that no one likes Nolfi’s version, but that Greengrass was not consulted by the studio in the hiring of Zemuter.

That most likely does not look good at all for Universal Pictures since they’ve been working with Greengrass for awhile with this franchise. Matt Damon has previously stated that he only shows interest in the series only if Greengrass is on board. Now that’s he’s jumped ship, it’s not looking good for the studio to keep the popular actor.
