With Underworld: Awakening coming upon us, I thought for this week’s Top 10 I would take a look at some of Film & TV’s sexiest vampires. There are plenty of them, for whatever floats your boat. To keep it fair I have included 5 of each sex, and yes these are my personal tastes but you might struggle to disagree with these ones.

10.) Dracula (Gary Oldman) from Dracula (1992)

To be perfectly clear I am taking about the above photo’s look with Dracula, not the other look. Gary Oldman is insanely sexy in this role, he oozes it and as a hot blooded woman he came close to making me explode!

09.) Miriam Blaylock (Catherine Deneuve) from The Hunger (1983)

I don’t care who you are, you cannot deny how incredibly sexy Catherine Deneuve was in this film (heck even now in her 60′s she’s amazing). There is something about her and her character that draws you in, and well you can’t help but want some of that.

08.) Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgård) from True Blood (2008-)

I am pretty sure he is the reason why so many of us tune into True Blood, his character is amazing and portrayed to perfection by Alex. He has this appeal about him, and there is no getting enough of him. Plus he gets his clothes off quite often, so nothing to complain about over here.

07.) Satanico Pandemonium (Salma Hayek) from From Dusk Till Dawn (1996)

Do I need to explain this entry? Salma Hayek in her underwear performing a sexy dance with a snake. Her few moments of screen time are perhaps what people remember the most from this kick-ass film. She proves once again what a sexy woman she is, and well then she proves that these vampires are just nasty!

06.) Damon and Stefan Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder & Paul Wesley) from The Vampire Diaries (2009-)

I love this show and I am not ashamed to admit that. The constantly changing dynamic between the central Salvatore brothers is addicting, with great performances by Ian and Paul. Both are able to play the good guy and the bad guy and remain drool worthy while doing so. Damon especially is one of my all time favourite TV characters!

05.) Dracua’s Bride (Monica Bellucci) from Dracula (1992)

Monica Bellucci as a vampire, of course this makes the list. One of her earlier English language roles was in Dracula and who better to play one of his brides than this sexy vixen? She was stunning then and is stunning now, you will become addicted to her once you see her in this film.

04.) Louis de Pointe du Lac (Brad Pitt) from Interview With The Vampire (1994)

Brad Pitt as a vampire with long hair, umm yes please!! Who didn’t completely fall for him in this film, he was oh so pretty back then (still is) and he gave such a wonderful performance with an incredible amount of heart. Yes every time I watch this I do still find him a very sexy character.

03.) Jessica Hamby (Deborah Ann Woll) from True Blood (2008-)

Her character started off as an annoying brat but the character development has been phenomenal and she has easily become my favourite part of the show. She is one stunning woman and she shows it, whether she be taking her clothes off or ripping something to pieces. This actress is amazing, as is the character, I always want more.

02.) Jerry Dandrige (Chris Sarandon & Colin Farrell) from Fright Night (1985) & (2011)

Both men played this role well, and actually quite differently, which therefore makes their sex appeal different. Chris Sarandon oozed sex in the original film, the moments we first see him, it is an instant attraction. The best and most sexiest scene is the club dancing scene and by gosh what I wouldn’t do to be all up against him during that. Colin Farrell’s Jerry is quite different, but the fact that it is Colin Farrell in an villainous role instantly makes him sexy and it drew me in.

01.) Selene (Kate Beckinsale) from The Underworld Series (2003-2012)

I am sure this comes as no surprise but when you put a beauty like Kate Beckinsale in those outfits what do you expect? Not only is Selene a character that looks smokin’, she’s actually a pretty strong one as well. Her appeal ranges from her looks to just how bad-ass and awesome she is. It is a role perfectly tailored to Beckinsale, especially with those costumes. REOW!

Up all night and sleep all day seems like the norm living in Las Vegas. I should know being a local for 14 years, but in Craig Gillespie’s Fright Night there’s a whole new explanation – VAMPIRES, and not the romantic, soft spoken, sparkly vampires we are used to seeing today. These are the fast, bad-boy, bloodthirsty vampires reminiscent of the ones portrayed in The Lost Boys. I know what you’re thinking, ANOTHER REMAKE! I said it too, but this one is worth the watch. It’s not a direct remake but a funny/scary modern day spin on the 1985 cult classic.

High-School senior Charley Brewster (Anton Yelchin) used to be a geek hanging out with “Evil” Ed Thompson (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) and other geeks back in the day until he ditched that world and became one of the cool kids, and started dating the hottest girl in school; Amy (Imogen Potts) while living it up with his flirtatious mom (Toni Collette) in a quiet suburban town in Las Vegas. What can go wrong? Jerry Dandridge (Colin Farrell) moves in next door. The mysterious and seductive, night construction worker immediately wins everyone over except for Ed who is certain Jerry is a vampire and responsible for the disappearance of his friend and is determined to blow his cover. When Charley is finally convinced his only hope may be Vegas show headliner Peter Vincent (David Tennant), an international magician and illusionist who is a cross between Chris Angel and Russell Brand. But is Peter the real deal or just another illusionist playing make-believe? Only time will tell and Jerry is pissed.

I really enjoyed this movie and wish I would’ve seen it in 3D when I had the chance. It is funny and loaded with lots of blood and really good scares. It does not slow down at all, and believe it or not the introduction to the characters and the big reveal is all within the first half hour and then it’s pure mayhem. I really like how they kept true to the Vampire rules that we all know and love; no sunlight, wooden stake, invite only, crosses, etc. I was even happy to see in one scene a backpack filled with the very same weapons that Buffy would’ve carried. If you look close enough there is even a cameo by the original Jerry (Chris Sarandon). What I didn’t like about this film was the CGI, there wasn’t a whole lot of it but I thought the filmmakers could’ve reached a more natural look by hiring an incredible make-up artist. That is all.

The Blu-ray:

Audio/Video

The audio track on the disc is crazy good. It sounded like I was in a movie theater for the flick’s entire runtime, and all I’ve got is a small Sony home theatre system. The video is also pretty amazing, with extreme clarity in the blacks and bursting colors during the daylight scenes.

Special Features

The Official “How to Make a Funny Vampire Movie” Guide: A short feature that has the cast and crew talking about the making of the film. Good, but short at just over eight minutes.

Peter Vincent: Come Swim in My Mind: An odd feature that has Peter Vincent giving the lowdown on his show Fright Night as if it were real. Also, very short at just over two minutes.

Deleted Scenes: A bunch of scenes that were cut out for a reason. Not a great feature, but worth checking out once, and you guessed it, it’s really short.

Squid Man: Extended & Uncut: The short film from the movie in its entirety.

There is also a small Blooper Reel, Music Video, and DVD Copy of the film as well.

The Flick Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

The Blu-ray Rating: 3 out of 5 stars

Oh, that old DVD from MGM is a barebones crapfest. Okay, so it was decent 10 years ago, but it was a flipper (no longer made), only extra was a trailer, and technology has changed. Well, thanks to whatever hype the remake caused, on the Blu-ray forums, the webmaster posted this great little piece of news:

“…Scheduled follow-up on December 13th is the original Fright Night (1985), the horror/comedy cult favorite written and directed by Tom Holland and starring Chris Sarandon and Roddy McDowall.”

A December date for the remake seems likely, since it flopped and a three month window is the norm. If anything, this is killer news. Let’s hope there’s some good extras. Thoughts?

Update: Here’s the official press release via Screen Archives:

Specialty label Twilight Time has struck a deal with Sony Pictures Home Entertainment to license and release classic films from the Sony-owned Columbia Pictures library in high-definition Blu-ray editions. In line with Twilight Time’s innovative limited series concept, just 3,000 units of each title will be produced, aimed at the collector/classic film aficionado market, and available exclusively online through Screen Archives, the nation’s largest independent distributor of specialty soundtracks.

The November 8th Blu-ray debut of director Cy Endfield’s and special effects master Ray Harryhausen’s 1961 science fiction/fantasy classic, Mysterious Island, will be followed by a new release on the first Tuesday of each month. Scheduled follow-up on December 13th is the original Fright Night (1985), the horror/comedy cult favorite written and directed by Tom Holland and starring Chris Sarandon and Roddy McDowall.

Twilight Time — the label that has made a recent splash in the classic film home video pond with the release of such titles as The Kremlin Letter, Violent Saturday, and The Egyptian — is the brainchild of 30-year Warner Bros. veteran Brian Jamieson and filmmaker/music restoration specialist Nick Redman. In his long tenure at Warner Home Video, Jamieson initiated and oversaw countless legacy restorations, including the films of Stanley Kubrick, Samuel Fuller’s The Big Red One, and Sam Peckinpah’s The Wild Bunch. Redman, a film historian and Oscar nominee for his 1997 documentary The Wild Bunch: An Album in Montage, is also a prime mover behind Twentieth Century Fox’s pioneering series of limited edition soundtracks, the inspiration for Twilight Time’s release model.

Twilight Time, Jamieson explains, is motivated by a desire “to optimize the film enthusiast’s dream, providing long sought-after collectible and fully restored titles in their original aspect ratios, all manufactured to the highest quality available and at an affordable price.”

Unlike movies-on-demand offerings, each Twilight Time release is a BD or DVD (not a DVDr) properly pressed from a restored transfer. Each is accompanied by a collectible 8-page booklet complete with original essay, stills, and poster art. And each Twilight Time disc provides, whenever possible, that extra most coveted by cinemusic enthusiasts: an isolated score. Mysterious Island offers a particularly high incentive along these lines, featuring music by pantheon composer Bernard Herrmann.

Grover Crisp, Sony Pictures Entertainment’s Executive Vice President for Asset Management, Film Restoration, and Digital Mastering, is enthusiastic about his studio’s new partnership with the label. “Our collaboration with Twilight Time will allow us to make available for Blu-ray release some of our library’s most collectible titles in a way fans have been asking for: restored and re-mastered with attention to detail and quality.”

And Jamieson concurs: “Sony and Twilight Time,” he says, “will be serving both the collectible drive of film aficionados, and, in a larger sense, the cause of cinema literacy.

One of the cooler moments in the new remake of Fright Night, is the clever little cameo by the original Jerry, Chris Sarandon. The film’s original vampire, faces off in a verbal tussel the doesn’t end too well for him when he confronts the new Jerry, Colin Farrell. Killer Film chats with Chris Sarandon about the original film, why remake it, and Mr. Farrell. Read on!

Q: What was your reaction when you first heard of the Fright Night project?

Chris Sarandon: My first thought was, “Who knows?” I knew that Mike Deluca was one of the producers and Mike is a smart guy, but I didn’t know anything else about it. To a certain extent I was skeptical, but after reading the script I was completely sold. Then I heard that Craig Gillespie was directing and who he had cast. I thought, “Well, how can they miss?” All the promise of the script was fulfilled.

Q: How similar is this Fright Night to the original film?

Chris Sarandon: The tone is the same. The original was scary and frightening, but it was also funny. The relationships were also very strong between the characters, which is very important. If the audience isn’t carried along in some sort of emotional conflict with the characters then the jeopardy that they are in is lost or at least diminished. I thought Marti Noxon’s script captured all of those elements without completely copying the original. This is a different time, so that was important.

I was also happy to see that they went back to the older tradition of the vampire genre as opposed to what’s been happening for the last seven or eight years in Twilight and True Blood. Jerry isn’t a romantic vampire. He’s much more in the tradition of Bela Lugosi, Nosferatu and Bram Stoker – a vicious killer.

Q: What did you think about casting Colin as Jerry?

Chris Sarandon: I thought it was brilliant. First of all, to me, Colin is the right age. He’s a mature man and he’s not a boy. Colin also has an indefinable quality and charisma that comes across onscreen. There’s something very special about him, plus he’s very funny and very smart. All of these qualities are important for the character of Jerry, as well as being dangerous.

Q: How was it working with Colin?

Chris Sarandon: Great. He’s a terrific fellow and a real Irish charmer, but he was also a big fan of the original movie. The first time I met him, he walked into my trailer and gave me Karl Dreyer’s film “Vampyre” and a bottle of Château Lafite Rothschild. It was quite touching and wonderful. I was very flattered, to say the least. He’s a lovely man.

Q: Do you think that CGI has changed the horror and science fiction genres?

Chris Sarandon: I think it has certainly made it a lot easier for directors and writers to bring to life what’s in their imaginations. For instance, they made this Fright Night in 3-D and I have always thought that 3-D was a gratuitous, money making proposition for studios so that they could charge more money for tickets. But the fact is, I think 3-D really enhances this movie because it gives it a sense of depth and, oddly enough, of claustrophobia. I think this is because you have much more of a sense of what the character’s relationships are dimensionally. In my mind, that’s the proper use of technology.

Q: Have you had any bizarre encounters with fans since you made the original Fright Night?

Chris Sarandon: I had one cable guy who was looking at me out of the corner of his eye the whole time he worked in my house, but he wouldn’t say a word to me. This went on for four hours until I was signing the bill and he said, “I’m surprised that you come out in the daytime.” Generally, though, people are very polite and very happy to see me.

Fright Night 3D is currently in theaters now.

The subject of remaking a fan favorite, or worse, a classic, is a tough proposition for any screenwriter, for any director. How much do you change versus keeping it the same? The simplest solution really, and I know most might disagree strongly, is to just keep your new version in the spirit of the original. You don’t have to go all Gus Van Sant/Psycho on us, or change it so completely that the title is a mere shadow of the original (ahem, Rob Zombie’s Halloween). Personally, 1985′s Fright Night is a fun film, but classic? Nah? The subject of remaking it wasn’t blasphemous to me as it was to others. Fright Night 3D is a whole different beast, than the scenarios I’ve brought up.

Essentially, Fright Night 3D can be summed up visually, which says more than any 500-word review can:

Lifeless, stale, and damn near pointless in naming itself Fright Night, the Craig Gillespie-directed remake lacks spirit and heart, and coming from someone who wouldn’t put 1985′s Fright Night on a list of the Top 25 Horror Movies of All-Time, I don’t like stepping it, nor do I like to have poop on me. Crap is crap.

Make no mistake, calling it something other than a Fright Night remake, then maybe it’s a decent time. But having Colin Farrell play Colin Farrell with bad CG vampire teeth, by having everyone douche bag themselves out, by having no fun doing it, kills Fright Night 3D.

As the character of Mark, played by Dave Franco, says: “This was one f*cked up night.” Yep.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars

Tired of the Dog Days of Summer yet? It’s been mad hot around the country, that’s for sure, and while your favorite multiplex has been cranking up the AC, this month is only getting hotter for Hollywood. The final summer month for 2011, brings some interesting films – prequels, sequels, reboots, original films (haha, no seriously) – and only Killer Film‘s main boss Donny Broussard and Senior Writer Jon Peters know which films you should see or skip in our August Movie Preview!

(August 5th)

Rise of the Planet of the Apes

The IMDb plot: “An origin story set in present day San Francisco, where man’s own experiments with genetic engineering lead to the development of intelligence in apes and the onset of a war for supremacy.”

3D option? No.

Jon: Earlier this year, the idea of a prequel to one of my favorite franchise was laughable. Adding to that, my initial reaction to their CGI’ing the apes, I started to get angry and cried. Just a little. Then to throw salt on my wounds Fox unleashed the trailer. From that moment on, I learned that you truly cannot judge a book by its cover, so to speak, because I don’t know how they did it, but this film is going to rock. It’s moody, dark, and psychologically interesting. I’m going bananas for it. Hail! Caesar! See it.

Donny: I’m with Jon on this one. I wasn’t excited for this at all until I got a peek at the trailer. The flick looks dark, epic in scope, and the fact that we all know how it ends makes it even more interesting. See it.

The Change-Up

The IMDb plot: “A comedy in which a married guy switches bodies with his best friend in order to woo his co-worker.”

3D option? No.

Donny: This one could go either way. Reynolds is funny, Bateman is funny, Wilde is hot, but in the end it’s the script that is going to make or break it. I’m not excited about the switching bodies plot. It seems like someone in Hollywood wanted to remake Big, but realized that it had been done in one form or another a dozen times, and as they say in Hollywood, if it isn’t original, then it has a chance to make money. Just saying. Skip it.

Jon: Key issue: Can Jason Bateman bring the funny again, after so many appearances in comedies this year? Ryan Reynolds is back where he belongs, and sex appeal is high with Olivia Wilde, but I can’t see this being worth more than a chuckle. Body-swapping? So 1980s. Skip it.

(August 12th)

Final Destination 5

The IMDb plot: “Survivors of a suspension-bridge collapse learn there’s no way you can cheat Death.”

3D option? Yes.

Jon: Quick recap of my feelings on this franchise: Loved the first one (here) – solid story, good kills; loved the over-the-top gore and insanity of Final Destination 2; couldn’t really get into the novelty of the “choose-your-adventure” aspect of Final Destination 3; out-right hated the Final Destination 3D (here). So where does this leave me? Stuck between a rock-and-a-hard-place. I heard it’s crazy gory and fun, but…but…skip it.

Donny: What Jon said. Skip it.

30 Minutes or Less

The IMDb plot: “Two fledgling criminals kidnap a pizza delivery guy, strap a bomb to his chest, and inform him that he has mere hours to rob a bank or else… “

3D option? No.

Donny: I am so ready for this flick! I absolutely loved Zombieland and this looks like it could bring the funny to another level. Ruben Fleischer is a breath of fresh air. He makes original movies. Enough said. See it.

Jon: Ruben Fleischer is one cool dude. Aziz Ansari and Danny McBride are my comedy boys. Everything from the weak-tit posters to the flat trailers, doesn’t sell me on this as Fleischer’s follow-up to the fresh, funny, awesome Zombieland. In fact, after I saw this trailer a month or so back, I wished for the pointless Zombieland 2 instead. Skip it.

(August 19th)

Conan the Barbarian

The IMDb plot: “The tale of Conan the Cimmerian and his adventures across the continent of Hyboria on a quest to avenge the murder of his father and the slaughter of his village.”

3D option? Yes.

Jon: So what if it’s a remake to the Arnold classic? As a character, there’s other stories and a richness to the character. So what if Jason Momoa isn’t in the physical build as Arnold? Schwarzenegger is a freak of a human. Marcus Nispel stutter-stepped in Pathfinder, but I think he has the resources and the story to excel here. I’m expecting this to be the 3D bloodbath revitalization of the sword-and-sandal genre. See it.

Donny: This looks like a lot of fun, and for some reason it doesn’t irritate me that this is a remake. Also, it would totally rock if this flick sparks a revival of the fantasy film. See it.

Fright Night

The IMDb plot: “A teenager suspects that his new neighbor is a vampire.”

3D option? Yes.

Donny: The original Fright Night is by far my favorite vampire flick. It has the perfect mix of comedy and horror, but this remake looks 100% weak-tit. I’m gonna stay home and watch the original on DVD in my living room while the rest of the world wastes their money on this pointless retelling. Skip it.

Jon: Of course, Donny would be all “they’ve ruined my childhood!”, huh. Well, as great as the original Fright Night is, it still exists even with this remake out there. As for the remake, it looks totally geared towards the wrong crowd. Hopefully, it’ll add something new to the mix (outside of the 3D), but I’m expecting a Fright Night Lite not anything with a bite. Skip it.

Spy Kids 4: All of the Time in the World

The IMDb plot: “Retired agent Marissa Cortez Wilson gets back into action – and recruits her two stepchildren — to stop a super villain known as the Timekeeper from taking over the planet.”

3D option? No, but it’s in 4D!

Jon: Rodriguez is a weird cat. First of all, he can go from Sin City to a kids film, but rebooting his own trilogy in 4D (Aroma-Vision) is kinda of William Castle-ish, but while we as fans deserve say a Predators 2, Sin City 2, any of his original projects, we’re left with this junk. Fun for kids, sure, but it’s a packed weekend for us adults, so skip it.

Donny: I would really LOVE to skip this, but I have children, and like me, my children enjoy going to the movies. Needless to say I’ll be pulled from the comfort of my home kicking and screaming by my kids for this one. While I want to skip it, I’m gonna have to see it.

The Last Circus:

The IMDb plot: “In 1973, near the end of the Franco regime, the clown’s son, Javier, follows in his father’s footsteps to become a clown, but he is too miserable to be funny and is instead relegated to play the part of the Sad Clown. There he is repeatedly humiliated by the Happy Clown Sergio for the entertainment of others. Javier later falls in love with Sergio’s gorgeous acrobat wife, Natalia. A love triangle ensues between the three of them, and the two clowns engage in a horrific battle with one another.”

3D option? No.

Jon: For original films, look no further than this arthouse slasher. Gory, violence, crazy, and unique, it’s for those who want something a bit different than 3D terror. It’s like if Tim Burton had balls to make a truly wacky film. See it.

Donny: Don’t know why, but I’m not excited about this one. I’m going to let Jon see it and I’m going to skip it.

(August 26th)

The IMDb plot: “A young girl sent to live with her father and his new girlfriend discovers creatures in her new home who want to claim her as one of their own.”

3D option? No.

Donny: This looks like it could be a creepy little sleeper hit. The poster and trailer are solid. I’m going to be there on opening night. See it.

Jon: I’m having Guillermo Del Toro burn out. I might need help, but he’s booked until Pacific Rim comes out. This ain’t doing it for me. Seems like a great little film to rent on a lonely Friday night (am I speaking blasphemy?), but after Insidious, I’m just unexcited so far for this. I’m sure I’ll regret saying that, but until something triggers me into running to see it, I’ll skip it.

Our Idiot Brother

The IMDb plot: “A comedy centered on an idealist who barges into the lives of his three sisters.”

3D option? No.

Jon: Solid cast, solid trailer. It’s been a fun summer for comedies, and this one might fill that void for dark humor, as we’ve got plenty of silly, potty humor films. Can it be a hit? It’s probably to indie for some, but I have a crush on Paul Rudd (in a non-gay way) and Zooey Deschanel (in an I love her way, but not in the stalker fashion), so my crushing is going to be at odds. At least I’ll laugh to yearning away…see it.

Donny: I’m with Jon. Paul Rudd is the man to have a totally not gay crush on. Just saying. The movie looks fun too! See it.

Colombiana

The IMDb plot: “A young woman, after witnessing her parents’ murder as a child in Bogota, grows up to be a stone-cold assassin.”

3D option? No.

Donny: I’m actually stoked for this one. I can’t wait to check it out. Bring on the killing! See it.

Jon: While the trailer is uber-annoying, I’m down for anything Luc Besson wants to give us, even if Mr. Megaton (Transporter 3) is directing. Alias-meets-Taken? See it. Oh, and it has a sweaty Zoe Saldana!

August Spotlight

Bellflower

The IMDb plot: “Two friends spend all their free time building flame-throwers and weapons of mass destruction in hopes that a global apocalypse will occur and clear the runway for their imaginary gang “Mother Medusa”.”

3D option? No.

Jon: This doomsday love story and been on everyone’s tongues since Sundance. I can’t wait. I’ve heard nothing but great things from people I respect, so a little romantic Mad Max seems like a great way to close the summer down. See it.

Donny: I have heard nothing but good things about this flick. It looks like it could be fun and original (go figure). See it.

That does it for August! What are you seeing or skipping, and why? Comment below!

One of the biggest uproars recently in horror was the announcement of Fright Night heading into remake mode. I think most horror fans, the old school ones, are pretty worn down by the onslaught of remakes. To me, it’s no different than the remakes of Dawn of the Dead and Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Yes, it sucked they were remade, but it’s been years now so whatever. But Fright Night holds a special spot in the hearts of many, so imagine when they announced that not only the film was being remade, but Colin Farrell was cast in it.

I like Farrell. And recently he spoke to Collider and here’s what he said about the remake:

“Oh man…I hope it’s entertaining. That’s all. I want to be very cautious that I don’t get in the realm of disclaimer and I don’t get in the realm of apology and that stuff cause it’s easy to do when your ego tells you anything that is a remake lacks originality enough to make them cool. I don’t know. I didn’t want to like it when I read it. I really didn’t. Cause I wanted to be able to go, “what they’re remaking Fright Night…Hollywood.” So I read it and I liked it. So fuck it, I’m going to go to work. And I’d seen Lars and the Real Girl and really liked that. The cast was incredible in it. So…entertainment. If it’s not that than it’s not…but it’s not in competition with the original. It doesn’t negate the existence of the original. The original is still around. It might find a new audience. If it’s not an hour and fifty minutes of entertainment than we screwed up.”

Thoughts?

But after the werewolf designs leaked online (here), there was a bit of hope for a new and possible good addition to The Howling franchise. I mean, haven’t we suffered through enough limp sequels?

Fangoria is claiming that the film will ever see some sort of a theatrical release, although no time has been set. The Howling Reborn is directed by Joe Nimziki and stars Landon Liboiron, Lindsey Shaw and Ivana Milicevic about “the eve of his high school graduation, unremarkable Will Kidman finally bonds with the girl he has long yearned for, reclusive Eliana Wynter. But he also discovers a dark secret from his past…that he is about to become a werewolf. Now, in an effort to fight destiny and save their love as well as their lives, they must battle not only Will’s growing blood lust but an army of fearsome beasts bent on killing them…and then, us all.”

Heat Vision Blog reports that Emily Montague has joined the cast of the upcoming remake. Her character will be a victim to Jerry Dandrige (Collin Ferrel), who moves in next to Anton Yelchin’s character. Unlike the original film, Montague’s character will be getting a few lines in this remake.
