Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced the home release of David Fincher’s The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo on March 10th. It seems rather fast the film is already leaving theaters, but considering the film hasn’t lived up to box-office expectations, it shouldn’t be a surprise. Unfortunately, the release will be bare-bones with a only commenter by the Director. However, I expect that we’ll get an extended cut of the film with more features in the future.

It’s really the most romantic of all the Saga films,” said T.J. Moffett, Summit’s EVP of Home Entertainment Marketing.

There’s only one problem, and those that pre-ordered the film (myself included) may have noticed, the film never came out. Well, Media Blasters posted on their Facebook page they’re “waiting for Toho approvals.” Yeah, they posted this over a month ago, but they updated the progress once again almost a month ago and they’re still waiting on Toho’s approval. Nothing new has been posted since then.

It’s look as though fans will have to wait to have this film on DVD/Blu-ray a while longer, but hopefully not too much longer. While Godzilla vs. Megalon is gernerally considered to be the worst of the franchise, it’s still a fun guilty pleasure.
