“Machete is based on the “fake” trailer in Rodriguez’s 2007 Grindhouse. The feature version of the trailer finds Machete (Trejo) a renegade former Mexican Federale, roaming the streets of Texas after a shakedown from drug lord Torrez (Seagal). Reluctantly, Machete takes an offer from spin doctor Benz (Fahey) to assassinate McLaughlin (De Niro) a corrupt Senator. Double crossed and on the run Machete braves the odds with the help of Luz (Michelle Rodriguez), a saucy taco slinger, Padre (Marin) his “holy” brother, and April (Lohan) a socialite with a penchant for guns. All while being tracked by Sartana (Alba), a sexy ICE agent with a special interest in the blade slinger.”

Knight and Day opens on June 25th, 2010.

Only if the project gets green lit would Spielberg and Chernin really latch onto the production as executive producers, though with Chernin that is not entirely certain depending on who else they decide to throw on board. For many people, if this starts chugging along in production, it warrants as another prehistoric-based vehicle that Spielberg has been on since the three Jurassic Park features.

I couldn’t resist spoofing that song by The Waitresses, which happens to appear in the Theatrical Trailer for the Diablo Cody vehicle Jennifer’s Body, starring controversial uber hottie Megan Fox. I do fall into the demographic that the studio is aiming for, so let’s find out if you should shell out $10 of your hard earned money.

We open with a mousy girl in an insane asylum named Needy (Amanda Seyfried), who tells the story of how her childhood friend Jennifer (Megan Fox) ends up a boy-munching succubus from the bowels of hell.

One night the girls decide to hit a local hick bar so Jennifer can try and hook up with a member of a small-time band named Low Shoulder – who look like Green Day imposters. Little does she know that they are looking for a virgin to sacrifice to beezlebub so they can hit the big time. After a fiery mishap that causes the bar to go up in flames, Jennifer is dragged into the woods and stabbed to death, but problems arise because she is not that innocent (Duh!), which brings forth a flesh craving demon that posseses her body.

After devouring a few of the townsfolk, Jennifer sets her sights on Needy’s boyfriend Chip (Johnny Simmons) and a battle ensues over who gets Jennifer’s Body.

The strongest aspect of the film is Diablo Cody’s hip, tweener dialogue that is something you would think was penned by a potty-mouthed male like Kevin Smith. Karyn (Aeon Flux) Kusama’s camerawork has a nice flow to the slick look the movie is going for. Megan Fox plays the high school cheerleader efficiently, and will have every guy (and some girls) playing pocket pool. She is quite ghoulish in a couple demonic close-up shots. In the end though, this is Amanda Seyfried’s movie with most of the plot points revolving around her relationship with Chip and the possibility that her feelings for the adventerous Jennifer are more than plutonic. From top to bottom this was one estrogen fueled genre film.

I’m sure everyone is wondering the obvious, do we get to see Megan Fox naked? Sorry to dissapoint you guys but what you saw in the previews is pretty much what you get. While it is sweet to see her in a cheerleader uniform, kissing another girl, and in her undies – it’s quite a hand-wringing experience when photos from the set were leaked showing a topless Megan coming out of a lake on the set. Diablo Cody admits this is a throwback to the 80′s style of horror, then why not take advantage of the R Rating and have a random shower scene involving extras who don’t have clauses in their contracts about going full monty? Skin and gore go hand-in-hand with this kind of lowbrow antics, and with high school as a backdrop there were plenty of opportunities to channel the spirit of the kind of movies that Hollywood doesn’t make any more. Talk about a prick tease.

Jennifer’s Body is worth the price of a matinee admission and will make a nice bookend to the similiarly-themed Tamara. Look for a brief cameo by the legend himself Lance Henriksen.

The rest of the cast includes Shia LaBeouf, Carey Mulligan, Josh Brolin, Frank Langella, Susan Sarandon and Michael Douglas. Although Bud Fox was a central character in the original film, Sheen will only be making a cameo appearance in the sequel.

Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps begins shooting this week in New York and will be released by 20th Century Fox next April.

Jennifer Check (Megan Fox) is the sexy, popular captain of the high school cheerleading squad. All of the girls want to be friends with her, and all of the boys want to have sex with her. Jennifer’s friend since childhood, Anita “Needy” Lesnicky (Amanda Seyfried), is a nerdy, substantially less popular, “plain jane” student. Jennifer ends up as the sacrifice in a Satanic ritual, held by a rock band, hoping that the sacrifice will increase their chances of getting a record deal. The ritual goes horribly wrong, causing Jennifer to get possessed by a demon and start feeding off of the boys in her high school—first seducing them to get close, and then consuming them in a manner similar to that of a Succubus. It becomes Needy’s goal to stop Jennifer from killing more of her classmates.

Los Angeles, Calif.-The Star has learned exclusively that the voice cast of Futurama has just signed a new contract with Fox after weeks of intense salary negotiations.

As late as last week, the network was threatening to replace the original voices of Matt Groening’s cult-hit cartoon, to the point of actually announcing a casting call for voice actors to replace them.

The compromise agreement, with the studio paying more and the actors accepting less, comes after the announcement of a 26-episode pick-up here by Comedy Central. Futurama also airs internationally in syndication, has produced four bestselling straight-to-DVD movies (later cut into episodes) and an upcoming feature film.

That’s the quote from 20th Century Fox. Really? After all this time, Futurama finally got the green light for 26 new episodes. Then Fox decides that the all-star cast, featuring Billy West, Katey Sagal, John Di Maggio, Tress MacNielle, and Phil LaMarr, among others, were looking for too much salary-wise. All things considered, Billy West is a legend in voice-acting. Katey Sagal and Phil LaMarr have also done more than enough to make Fox as important as they are. With all the intergral cast being recasted, I’m pretty sure that the future of Futurama is not going to follow suit with the other animated show Fox made the foolish decision to cancel: Family Guy. And now Family Guy is back and printing more money for Fox.

The lawsuit began after the films trailer premier back this summer when news had already began of the mass hype surrounding the film, then Fox came out with the lawsuit against against Warner Bros and Legendary Pictures due to the fact that they had acquired rights to the Watchmen novel back in the 80’s.

Whether the film will still be released this March is still up in the air with this new decision.
