The Colonial Marines celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Aliens

For several years now I have brought actors and filmmakers to the New Beverly Cinema in Los Angeles to talk about some of their classic movies. Eventually, I asked if I could host the occasional anniversary screening, and after my GoodFellas event was successful, I set my sights on celebrating the 25th Anniversary of James Cameron’s Aliens, one of my five favorite movies of all-time.

I’ve worked with and become friendly with Michael Biehn, one of my onscreen heroes, and I asked him if he would participate. Once he said yes, everything fell into place. Bill Paxton said yes, Gale Anne Hurd, Lance Henriksen, Jenette Goldstein, Mark Rolston and Ricco Ross. Michael Torgan, owner of the New Beverly Cinema agreed to book the film and put on the event and we settled on a date, 25 years from when the film opened. (Ultimately, Bill and Gale had to cancel due to schedule conflicts).

Tickets sold out as soon as they were released online. It was a double feature of The Terminator and Aliens followed by a Q&A with the 5 cast members. It was a fantastic time and one of the best days of my life. I hope the video captures how much fun we had!

Thanks to Michael Torgan and New Beverly Cinema for making this possible!
