November Movie Preview
November 4th
A very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas
Donny says: I’m a huge fan of this franchise, and I can’t wait to see this movie. These guys know how to bring the funny. See it.
Jason says: Harold & Kumar are this generations Cheech & Chong. Can’t want to see this outrageous sequel in 3D. A must see!
Tower Heist
Donny says: I’m somewhat intrigued by this flick. I know that putting a huge cast of actors together doesn’t usually work, but I’m hoping that this time it does. See it.
Jason says: Trailers don’t mean a film is going to be good, but I have to say, this looks like a ton of fun. See it.
The Son of No One
Donny says: Channing Tatum has been doing some solid work, and this looks like a continuation of that trend. I’ll be there for this one. See it.
Jason says: Tracy Morgan…hell no. Skip it.
November 11th
Immortals
Donny says: Looks like it could either be epic or epic crap. I’m gonna let Jason or someone else on the team cover this. Skip it.
Jason says: This should be called Tarsem’s 400. It will be a visual mindfuck, so you have to see it in the theaters.
J. Edgar
Donny says: I’m sure it’ll be good, and win all sorts of awards and shit, but this type of flick just isn’t my thing. Skip it.
Jason says: Already in my Netflix que. Skip it.
Melancholia [LA/NY]
Donny says: Looks interesting, but I’m already burnt out on it without even seeing it. Jason, you can have this one. Skip it.
Jason says: Love him or hate him, Lars von Trier’s films are controversial and get people talking. See it.
Jack and Jill
Donny says: Not even a little bit interested. Skip it.
Jason says: Watch The Wedding Singer instead and save yourself some money. Skip it.
London Boulevard
Donny says: I’m a fan of Farrell’s work and this looks like it could be solid. Count me in. See it.
Jason says: Keira Knightley needs to eat something, anything. Skip it.
11-11-11
Donny says: Bousman always delivers. I’ll be there on opening night waiting patiently to be scared senseless. See it.
Jason says: I’ve been anxiously waiting for this one. A must see!
November 18th
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1
Donny says: Vampire don’t sparkle, and I’m pretty sure werewolves sometimes wear shirts. Films like this one are why we have Krista on staff. Skip it.
Jason says: Give me Fright Night and Near Dark. A big ass skip!
The Descendants
Donny says: Not really the type of flick we usually cover, but Clooney does good work. See it.
Jason says: I’d rather watch Clooney in Return to Horror High. Skip it.
November 25th
Hugo
Donny says: I haven’t been following this flick, but now that it’s on my radar I’m stoked about it. See it.
Jason says: Polar Express 2? Skip it.
The Muppets
Donny says: I’m counting the days until I get to see this flick. I LOVE MUPPETS! Just saying. See it.
Jason says: It has been way too long since the last great Muppets movie. Beaker! See it.
Arthur Christmas
Donny says: This looks like weak sauce, but I have kids and they want to see it, and you know what that means for me. See it.
Jason says: Donny can see it with his children. Skip it.

Not a bad month overall. HAROLD AND KUMAR is a must see for sure. MELANCHOLIA, THE MUPPETS, 11-11-11, J. EDGAR and THE DESCENDANTS are on my list as well. TOWER HEIST (if it is released after the problems it’s caused) seems like it might be good. Eddie Murphy looks like the Eddie of old here.

Yep, looks like old school Eddie Murphy.
Hate that Melancholia is only a limited release. It’s my most anticipated film all year. Nothing that catches my interest now that Piranha 3DD is delayed.
