They say that all good things must come to an end.

We start saying goodbye to some of our favorites this month, which is starting to make me a little sad.

The last part of the Twilight saga starts in November, but before that, Comic Con is having a Breaking Dawn panel. I know I’m looking forward to hearing reports about the details being revealed and the exclusive video being shown. Hopefully Bill Condon will give us all something to look forward to later this year. Now, I know some of you vehemently disagree with the presence of sparkly vampires at Comic Con. But just remember – it will only be for (possibly) one more year. And who can argue with all the money Twi-hards bring to California for Comic Con?

Before Comic Con even gets started, we come to the end of an even more influential series. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II, the last of the Harry Potter films, is sure to set box office records this month. A premiere was held in London’s Trafalgar Square earlier this month, and all of the stars – and author J.K. Rowling – came out to celebrate.

I think Emma Watson’s reaction pretty well summed up what Harry Potter fans are feeling about the end of this era. She wiped tears from her eyes several times during the red carpet event.

“I will really miss Rupert [Grint] and Dan. I’ll just miss being Hermione. I just love being in her world. How can you top this?” she said to reporters. “It’s overwhelming to try to find the words to say what I want to say, but I have been so privileged to play this role and be a part of these films.”

Daniel Radcliffe, for his part, seemed to enjoy the evening.

“You just have to let yourself revel in it and enjoy it while it lasts, because it won’t happen again,” Radcliffe said to the press. “There is a bit of sadness, but generally speaking, it’s a day to be elated.”

I’m glad to see Radcliffe doing so well when such a significant part of his life is ending. After his revelation in GQ that he has struggled with alcohol and found a way to control it and his highly successful turn in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying on Broadway, I think his future is bright.

Another long-running series taking its final bow is HBO’s Entourage. Now I have to admit, even speaking as a girl, this show is pretty clever. In a strange sort of way (and forgive me for saying this, guys) it reminds me of HBO’s other great female-based half-hour comedy. Entourage is back for its eighth and final season at the end of July. Now the main question is this – will there be a movie after it ends? (Again, reminding you of Sex and the City, anyone?) Comment below and tell us what you think about the possibility of an Entourage movie.

I know all of this is sad. But remember – we can always reminisce with the DVDs.
