Santa Buddies: The Legend of Santa Paws – Blu-ray Review
Disney is a company that absolutely knows its audience. When it comes to children’s flicks they know exactly what ingredients to add in order for guaranteed success. With Santa Buddies: The Legend of Santa Paws Disney brings back the familiar buddies that started with Air Bud and creates a Christmas mythos deeply rooted in K-9 mischief.
Santa is worried about the future of his chosen vocation because the sprit of Christmas, which is kept safe within an icicle is melting away at an alarming rate. While Santa and his trusty dog Santa Paws work to find a solution for this new threat to Christmas. Puppy Paws decides that he just wants to be a normal dog and hooks up with a handful of buddies. These buddies are supposed to be teaching Puppy how to be a regular pup, but Puppy ends up causing lots of trouble.
I didn’t enjoy this flick as much as I was hoping that I would, but let me say that my kids liked it so much that they wanted to watch it again as soon as the credits rolled. I think the power of our four legged friends are the main reason my kids loved the flick so much. The flick definitely has its heart in the right place, it tries it’s best to bring the Christmas spirit. This is a movie that is for the kids and when looked at from their perspective the flick is a slam dunk. I didn’t love it, but my kids did, and in my book that makes it a killer film.

Audio/Video
The audio was loud and clear! The entire flick sounded great. The video was pretty awesome as well.
Special Features
Sing Along to Christmas Carols with the Buddies: This feature offers up three Christmas songs that the kiddies are sure to enjoy, We Wish You A Merry Christmas, Deck the Halls, and Santa Paws is Coming to Town.
Santa Claus is Coming to Town Music Video: Steve Rushton sings the classic son for today’s generation of Disney kids. I didn’t care for this version of the song or the video, but once again my kids enjoyed it and in the end it’s for them and not me.
