Return Of The Action Flick

Contract Killer Chev (Jason Statham) wakes up to find out that he has been given a Beijing Cocktail by Verona (Jose Pablo Cantillo) which slows down his heart and should in theory kill him in an hour or so. The only thing that can prolong his life is adrenaline, so with the help of his doctor Miles (Dwight Yoakam) he sets out to kill Verona, find his girlfriend Eve (Amy Smart), and keep his heart beating my any means necessary.

To keep the adrenaline going Chev uses, drugs, energy drinks, caffeine, nasal spry, and in one of the most unconventional scenes I’ve seen in a long time fucks his girlfriend Eve in the middle of the street in Chinatown. Holy shit I had fun with this flick. I love Jason Statham’s movies because you know that your gonna at the very lest have a good time, but Crank brought back the kind of in your face raunchiness that I haven’t seen in movies since the late 70′s and early 80′s. This was the kind of flick you could watch over and over again and always be entertained.

Hollywood needs to give writer/directors Mark Neveldine, and Brian Taylor a license to make as many of these high octane flicks as possible and inject some nasty f**king fun back into a dead genre.
