New Release Tuesday (3-16)
Welcome back to New Release Tuesday for March 16th on Killer Film! Click the cover art to order from Amazon!
Twilight Saga: New Moon
(Please note that this streets Saturday, March 20th) If you thought Twilight was a huge box office making film, then this sequel proved us wrong. Haters be damned, Twi-hards made this one of the more successful films of last year. Every other retailer should have some sort of exclusives for this release. (Formats: Blu-ray/DVD)  Jon says: Rent   Donny says: Avoid
Princess and the Frog
One of our favorite films from last year is an explosion of imagination and beautiful 2-D cell animation like the good ol’ days! (Formats: Blu-ray/DVD)  Jon says: Buy  Donny says: Buy
Ninja Assassin
Oh, if only this was made without the year’s worst CG, I believe we might have had a good time, but alas, the FX blood killed it for me. Pretty disappointing, coming from V for Vendetta‘s director. (Formats: Blu-ray/DVD)  Jon says: Avoid  Donny says: Rent
Fourth Kind
An actual scary alien abduction film? Maybe! (Formats: Blu-ray/DVD)  Jon says: Rent  Donny says: Rent
Astro Boy
The CG animated update of the classic Japanese series came and went, but those who saw it thought it was decent. (Formats: Blu-ray/DVD)  Jon says: Rent  Donny says: Rent
Did You Hear About the Morgans?
No, we did not, nor do we want too. (Formats: Blu-ray/DVD)  Jon says: Avoid  Donny says: Rent
Armored
This appeared in theaters back in December for about 10 seconds. Looks DTV with big stars. (Formats: Blu-ray/DVD)  Jon says: Rent   Donny says: Rent
Broken Embraces
Decent performances in an overly dramatic script. (Formats: Blu-ray/DVD)  Jon says: Rent  Donny says: Rent

I still need to see it!
I may rent Astroboy, but given my disgust Hollywood has done with their previous adaptations, I won’t be too excited.
The wife and I sat down and watched Twilight the other night. Holy shit was it bad. Those two looked like they were two seconds from yakking in EVERY SCENE!!!! Was it supposed to be funny in certain parts? Introducing dad to the boyfriend while dad is cleaning the shotgun??

Well, look at the age demographic it’s aimed for. I’m near 30 and while “we” horror fans see it has ‘bad’ or ‘cheesy’ it’s really for women, namely teens, so take it with a grain of salt.
Ninja Assasin is cheey in my opinion, the action sequence could have been much better ~
i always regard the movie ninja assasin one of the best action films, :”.
