Avatar: The Collector’s Edition
This set should be well-worth the wait. We get the theatrical version, the new extended cut that was released in theaters this past August, and a work print version, along with a gigantic selection of extras. Perhaps for fans only, but is a great set. (Formats: Blu-ray/DVD)  Jon says: Buy   Donny says: Buy
Best Worst Movie
Out of all of the horror movie-related documentaries, this is the one I really want to see. Troll 2 has gathered a huge cult following as one of the worst films ever made, yet don’t tell that tot he director who still believes he made a good film. It’s a heart-warming look at bad movie-making, mixed with their love. (Formats: DVD only)  Jon says: Buy   Donny says: Buy
Night of the Hunter: Criterion Collection
I still remember that shoddy DVD release from MGM, so thank the DVD Gods that Criterion is here to rescue this superb film, starring Robert Mitchum, about a preacher befriending a family for their fortune. Dark and disturbing. (Formats: Blu-ray/DVD)  Jon says: Buy   Donny says: Buy
RoboGeisha
From the guys the gave us Machine Girl and Tokyo Gore Police. It looks super wild and goofy. Should be a blast, if you dig these films. (Formats: Blu-ray/DVD)  Jon says: Rent  Donny says: Rent
New to Blu
Spider-Man (solo release)
Spider-Man 2 (solo release)

I’m all about Avatar
I liked BEST WORST MOVIE, but I didn’t love it. For me, George Hardy (who plays the father in TROLL 2) comes off as a dick by the end of the documentary. He goes to conventions and basically makes fun of the people there. The documentaries heart is in the right place, but a couple of the people come off a little unlikeable at the end of it.
ROBOGEISHA I have on region 2 DVD, but haven’t seen it yet. I loved TOKYO GORE POLICE and MACHINE GIRL. I can’t wait to check it out.
Nothing else suits me this week. I’m waiting for CRONOS in a couple of weeks.
My Avatar: CE is en-route, can’t wait.
Will probably be purchasing these at some point, always wanted to see night of the hunter and robo geisha looks like fun. Very dissapointed in avatar though, seems James cameron focoused on the visuals and left out the good charecters and story.
