New Release Tuesday (10-13)
Welcome back to Killer Film’s New Release Tuesday for October 13th! You can order from Amazon by clicking on the cover art. Let’s see what’s coming out today.
Drag Me to Hell
Sam Raimi’s valiant return to horror wasn’t Evil Dead 4, but this is still a great, original horror film that was a blast from start to finish. A must see! (Formats: Blu-ray/DVD) Jon says: Buy Donny says: Buy
Land of the Lost
Okay, so the original show was campy, so I see the reason for an updated version. There were elements of good ideas here and there, but it never gelled. Plus, this is wildly unfunny. If you must watch it, then do so because of Danny McBride. (Formats: Blu-ray/DVD) Jon says: Avoid Donny says: Rent
The Proposal
This rom-com cleaned up at the box office, and it is surprising as to why. Is Sandra Bulloch still favorable to movie goers? Was it Ryan Reynolds? I don’t know, but out of all of these types of movies, this was one of 2009′s better rom-coms. (Formats: Blu-ray/DVD) Jon says: Rent Donny says: Rent
The Stepfather
With the remake days away, Shout Factory gives us a new special edition of the almost classic film, with a new transfer and extras. (Format: DVD only) Jon says: Buy Donny says: Rent
Happy Birthday to Me
Sony messed up big time a few years back with their release. They had some horrible cover art, no extras, and they changed the music in the film! Anchor Bay gives fans of this slasher better cover art and the original music. Sadly, no extras. (Format: DVD only) Jon says: Buy Donny says: Buy
The Haunted Airman
Before Twilight, Robert Pattinson starred in this flick. I have no knowledge of it and I just put it here for you obsessed Twilight fans to swoon over him. (Formats: DVD only) Jon says: Rent Donny says: Rent
New to Blu
Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas
South Park: Bigger, Longer, Uncut
As always, keep it here at Killer Film for more news and reviews on these discs and more!
