Diana Lindloff: Killer Film’s Fan of the Month!
Killer Film may be a new site, but over the last few years we have gained some rabid fans, some of which we now have the pleasure of calling our friends. Diana Lindloff has been a fan for quite a while now and her dedication to the site got our attention quickly. That’s why Diana is Killer Film’s fan of the month! Not only does she get the pleasure of being our #1 fan this month, she is also going to be receiving a Killer Film t-shirt, sticker, and a movie or two from our prize box in the mail within the next few weeks. Thanks for the comments, kind words, and loyalty.
What are your favorite movies?
Jurassic Park! This is my ultimate favorite movie. Something about putting dinosaurs on screen, in your face, I was mesmerized as a little kid. I mean who didn’t want to dig dinosaur bones as a kid? As I got older I appreciated the music and the scenery, but even to this day I always get that giddy and excited feeling I got as a little kid watching that movie
I thought I should choose my favorite horror movie. But I have a confession to make. Horror movie’s scare me in a way that I will only watch them during daylight on a Tuesday afternoon. BUT, since I have become so fond of the site I have come to grips with my fears and have embraced the horror. I love a good old ghost story so I was very excited when Paranormal Activity came out. And it didn’t disappoint me! I also found out I really enjoyed Trick R’ Treat. Another surprise hit for me was The 4th Kind.
I really enjoy documentaries as well. Young @ Heart was one that touched my heart and made me laugh and cry. Grizzly Man toed the line between lunacy and a man’s need for education or conservation, which for those who are passionate can easily be done. Two recent doc’s that made me take notice were Food Inc, which made me question what I put into my mouth and The Cove left me bawling in the theater.
Guilty pleasure movies round out my list of favorite movies. I like the sappy chick flick movies. I can just curl up and watch them. Favorite cry fest movie is Up Close and Personal, I cry every time when they show the red shoe laces. I really liked the characters of In Her Shoes, and Under the Tuscan Sun. All the movies of the 80’s involving John Candy, Eddie Murphy, Michael J. Fox, Dan Akroyd (etc) are like old friends and I revisit them as often as I can.
Why are you a Killer Film fan?
The thing I love most about Killer Film is how reliably on time the reviews are. I can go on Tuesday mornings and know New Releases will let me know what is coming out for the week. I know during the summer, Jon will have already reviewed and posted the midnight showing of whatever the big box office release of the week. I’ve watched the website go from one or two reviews a week to what it is now, and I can see my friend’s personalities in their reviews. Plus it makes me feel a little cool having friends that get to interview big named people in the industry.
Some of the movies I’m most excited to see in 2010 include all the major sequels such as Iron Man 2, Sex and the City 2, Twilight-Eclipse, and Deathly Hallows. I think Alice in Wonderland could be a fun movie. A lot of miniseries on HBO have me excited as well; My heart has belonged to True Blood since the beginning so I’m awaiting a start date on that one. And The Pacific which I think could be just as well as Band of Brothers.
I love Killer Film, and I’m honored to be considered a fan of it. I’ve made some really good friends through the website, and it’s opened my eyes to movies that I normally wouldn’t think about going to see. So thank you again!
So for all you other Killer Film fans out there, keep on commenting and emailing us with your suggestion, opinions, or even just to say hello. Who knows, next month it could be you that gets on our front page and a gift-pack in the mailbox.

Congratulations Diana!! You are definitely one of my favorite commentators and I also want to thank you for the support and tweets on all our articles!
P.S. I cry like too at the end of Up Close and Personal.

Congrats Diana! Don’t you worry, we’ll be up-to-date with your anticipated movies (and expect a buttload of stuff on Eclipse once it gets close to the release date on here, Summit tends to go overboard)!

Diana was probably the first fan of my writing, but as of Killer Film also. Loyal, funny, and glad she’s the first. Anyone else reading this who visits us daily, thank you, and you might be like Diana!!
So who’s next month’s Fan of the Month?

My vote goes for Brad Reiter–he talks us up all over Facebook land and he is the proud owner of several of our shirts.
