Jon Peters’ Halloween Watch List
Every year, us online horror-loving film dorks post our Halloween Watch Lists. It comes to the point now, that you all should be seeing the classics like Nosferatu (1922), Night of the Living Dead, and Halloween, and if you aren’t then shame on you. But if you really aren’t, then you must be slightly bored with them because you see them every year, year in, and year out, and probably a few more times during the course of the year.
So that brings me and hopefully you, to this conclusion: What to watch then? This year, my time is limited and I bet yours might be too. I want to watch either scary, gory, or fun films, and below is what I’m watching. I hope some of these interest you to seek them out.
The Fun, Beer and Pizza at Midnight Pick:
I Drink Your Blood! (1971)

The Horror Anthology Pick:
Two Evil Eyes (1990)

The Zombie Pick:
Dead & Buried (1981)

The Slasher Pick:
Toolbox Murders (1977)

The Guilty Pleasure Pick:
Friday the 13th: Part VII-Jason Takes Manhattan

The Gore Pick:
Hatchet (2006)

The “You Ain’t Heard of This One” Pick:
Living Doll (1990)

The Blu-ray Pick:
Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003)

The Theatrical Pick:
Antichrist

The Halloween Night Pick:
The Tingler (1950)

I’m sure I’ll be seeing a few more, but these are my October/Halloween 2009 movies I’m watching. Hope you enjoy a scary time and seek these out too! But mostly importantly, I want to know what you are watching, so post a comment below or email me at jon@killerfilm.com

I LOVE when Jason Takes Manhattan! My grade 4 teacher would show this film in class when we behaved…no joke. Gotta love appearances from Scott Reeves and Kelly Hu!
Great list Jon!
