  1. keep in mind we did this list a few weeks ago, because INCEPTION would have definitely been on this list! lol

    Jon Reply:

True, and maybe Toy Story 3. :)

  2. I really enjoyed Predators, The Crazies, and Iron Man 2.

  3. Interesting lists there. Mine are:

Best: THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO

    Worst: COP OUT

    Limited: HARRY BROWN

Horror: [REC] 2 slightly over THE CRAZIES

    Underrated: HARRY BROWN

Overrated: None yet, but I’m seeing INCEPTION this week, so I’ll
have to see if it lives up to the hype.

Still Need To See: THE KIDS ARE ALRIGHT

Most Anticipated: I have a tie here, MACHETE and THE EXPENDABLES.

    Jon Reply:

Finally, getting to see [REC] 2 soon.

  4. Donny
You need to read the Twilight books to understand the movies. If your daughter was 12 or 13 she would be totally a twilight fan.
I loved Eclipse and Leap year.
when in Rome is a cute film.

  5. I’ll follow my friend Brad and add mine:

Best: “The Secret in their Eyes” and “Mother”

Worst: Sex in the City, 2

Limited: “The Secret in their Eyes” and “Mother”

Horror: “Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Undead”

    Underrated: “Splice”

Overrated: “Iron Man 2″ The beginning was the climax; the rest, a bore.

Still need to see: “Crazies,” “[REC] 2,” and “The Runaways.” I did, however, see the oft-mentioned “Harry Brown,” which seemed to me to be a play on “Death Wish,” good but not great.

Most Anticipated: “Scott Pilgram vs. the World” No, I just wanted to see Jon’s head explode. ;-) “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps” and “Burlesque” with Xtina.

    Brad Reiter Reply:

I have MOTHER on my Netflix. I can’t wait to see that. WALLSTREET 2 looks really good. I saw the first one for the frist time a couple of months back, and I loved it.

    Jon Reply:

    Grrrr! On SPvtW!

But there’s been a slew of good documentaries out as well in 2010; oh, the stuff for the end of the year review!

Splice was really good for the genre. I almost went that route with Iron Man 2.

    Brad Reiter Reply:

I agree on the documentaries part. I’ve seen 3 in the theater (CROPSEY, which I ordered on DVD today and was fantastic, JOAN RIVERS, which was the best I’ve seen, and BEST WORST MOVIE, which was good, but the actors especially the one who played the dad came off as a complete asshole by the end of the feature). Then there was NEVER SLEEP AGAIN, which was amazing.

  6. Serena, I agree 100% about THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE. I watched it onDemand, and hated it. Nothing good about it, although the main actor playing the doctor did a good job, the rest was really bad. I didn’t feel bad for the “victims” at all. In fact, I was hoping they would die.

    Jon Reply:

I mildly like Human Centipede. It was like an S&M version of Frankenstein. Good not great. No reactions to A Nightmare on Elm Street? I thought someone would be giving that a category. Hmmm.

    Brad Reiter Reply:

I liked the NIGHTMARE remake, but I didn’t love it. I thought the actress that played Nancy was horrible. Other than her, I enjoyed the film. I’d probably put it in the middle of the road right now.

    Jon Reply:

    Agreed.

  7. Best Film: HOT TUB TIME MACHINE

Underrated: A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET

    Best Horror: THE CRAZIES/[REC] 2

Overrated: I don’t even need to see INCEPTION to know that it is the winner.

  8. I’d comment but I can’t even remember everything I’ve seen this year haha. One of the funniest was Hot Tub Time Machine. I enjoyed Iron Man 2… Looking forward to SECRETARIAT!!! And all documentaries that are coming out.

    Jon Reply:

If that’s one thing we do on KF is that we cover the docs! We got some good ones in store for reviews coming!

  9. Since this is the first year Ive seen a ton a movies I thought I’d add my list too.

    Best: Last Song

    Worst: Valentine’s Day

    Limited: Cyrus

    Horror: The Crazies

    Underrated: Bounty Hunter

    Overrated: Alice in Wonderland

Still Need To See: Grown Ups

Most Anticipated: The Switch and Ramona and Beezus

    Jon Reply:

Crazies for horror film of the year? We have to wait and see, but it’s an early contendor!
