Yet another candidate to play Spider-Man

While Sony has officially dismissed any rumor that Logan Lerman maybe playing Spider-Man, we now get word that Josh Hutcherson may have a chance of landing the role. IESB is reporting that Josh Hutcherson is on the short list to play the wall-crawler.

“IESB has exclusively heard another candidate is on the short list for Pete Parker and his web-slinging alter-ego – Josh Hutcherson.”Let’s be clear on this, folks. We’re not saying he has the role.”

Hutcherson’s publicists were contacted about the rumor, but there has been no response as of yet. To me, he doesn’t look right for the role of Peter Parker/ Spider-Man, but more or less who I could see playing Harry Osborne in the reboot. Anyway, it shouldn’t be much longer until we hear any official news on the role.

The untitled Spider-Man reboot is scheduled to hit theaters in July 2012.
