Worthington is Dan Dare

Clash of the Titans star Sam Worthington is taking advantage of his star power as he signs on to Dan Dare: Pilot of the Future, says Pajiba. A lot of us have not heard of Dan Dare, the science fiction character created by Frank Hampson which is claimed to be the British equivalent of Buck Rogers in the comic book world.

Warner Bros Pictures has the reigns on this project, already bringing Garth Ennis onboard to go and pen the script. In typical fashion, the picture is already mentioned to have a darker tone as is most of the comic book adaptations that are spawning onto the big screen.

Worthington always appears to have all the luck, landing leading roles in films like Terminator Salvation, James Cameron’s Avatar and will be appearing in regular theaters and in 3D in the action-packed remake of Clash of the Titans.
