Wood and Williams have Happy Feet again

happy-feetElijah Wood and Robin Williams sign up for the sequel to the 2006 Oscar winning animated feature Happy Feet. They both are in the middle of negotiations to reprise their respective voice roles. Wood is reprising Mumble, the penguin who can’t sing but can dance the tuxedo off of any waddler around him and Williams is back as (what else?) the hyper-acting and wise-cracking penguin Ramon; he also voices Lovelace (THR).

Director and writer George Miller is strapping himself back in those two seats for the sequel. Word on what exactly the second film will be about is still not known, but the script is reportedly finished already. Animal Logic is doing the animation for the film, that is expected to be released in 3D, which will be released on November 18th, 2011.

I've been in love with film ever since I was a kid. The time, effort and passion that runs through a majority most film is something that's always attracted me to this field. What ended up happening with my big appetite for all things going on in the industry turned from random blurbs on Facebook to an unexpected but fun job. College student by day, movie news writer by early morning...or any time in the day and night when more news arrives. Working towards my bachelor's degree in film, what a surprise. I do other things too, like draw, write stories, maintain a social life and feed my pet dragon Lockheed. If you want to know more about me, hunt me down and just ask.

  1. It is actually not being done at Animal Logic at all … George has created his own studio, “Dr. D Studios” in Sydney, and is making the movie there.
