Wolverine clawing back in 2011

Just like with the X-Men in the Marvel comic books, even though every other character can die a many number of times but eventually they’ll come back to life in some form. This is the case with Wolverine 2, the sequel to the X-Men spinoff film entitled X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Here’s more on what Wolverine 2 star Hugh Jackman said on the impending sequel at SuperHeroHype.:

In the video titled ‘Hugh Jackman Backstage,’ Jackman first says that he’s going to shoot the Shawn Levy-directed Real Steel this summer, followed by this: “Wolverine’s going to be back. He’s going to Japan. We shoot that probably in a year, year-and-a-half, something like that.”

Bryan Singer is currently knee deep in development with Street Kings scribe Jamie Moss, putting together the script for the impending prequel called X-Men: First Class. X-Men Origins: Magneto is pushed back at the moment, set to possibly (if it even gets any help past development at all) to come out in 2013.

  1. I was lauging at how bad the first film was. But, heres hoping the sequel will be better. I won’t hold my breath, though.

  2. I hadn’t seen the first film, but I know it was one of the casualties of the writers strike. They had to go to work with what they had since they couldn’t do re-writes. Once the strike ended, it was already to late to really get anything re-written, so we ended up with what many people saw as a really bad film.

Yeah, I fully believe that the first film was half-baked. Rewrites were needed. Here’s hoping for “2″ to rock!
