Will Reese Witherspoon join PTA’s Scientology film?
Paul Thomas Anderson is currently working on a film that is believed to be based on L. Ron Hubbard, who is the founder of Scientology. The film already has a great cast with Philip Seymour Hoffman as the lead, and Jeremy Renner in a supporter role. Now, The Wrap has word that Oscar-winning actress, Reese Witherspoon has been offered a role, too.
When asked about the news, Witherspoon’s representative at CAA only said “no comment”. There’s no word on what her role would be or how big it is. But, given that Witherspoon has just begun filming of Water for Elephants, it wouldn’t be too big of a role. The film is scheduled to begin production this June.
