Will Angeline Jolie be Unforgiven?
Christopher McQuarrie has worked with many big names such as Johnny Depp, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Martin Scorsese is now looking to work with Angelina Jolie. The producer will be penning the script to a remake of Unforgiven for Jolie. Not the 1992 western with Clint Eastwood, but a remake to the 2009 British miniseries.
Deadline Hollywood reports that McQuarrie will be writing the script for Jolie to play in the lead role. The film will be about a woman getting released from prison, and re-unite with her younger sister. She gets put in jail after murdering two police officers and finds herself targeted by the sons of her victims. Jolie will be playing the role previous portrayed by Suranne Jones in the original miniseries.
McQuarrie just recently wrote X-Men Origins: Wolverine 2 and The Tourist, which Jolie also stars in along with Depp. Jolie hasn’t been known to commit to films until the script in completed, but this film is being fast-tracked to make sure she is available. There’s no word on who’s considered for the role of her younger sister or any other roles at this time.
