Who’s rumored to play Moriarty in Sherlock Holmes 2?
Guy Ritchie is finishing some rewrites on the sequel’s script for its targeted December 2011 date for Sherlock Holmes 2 and, if you’ve seen the first, it’s safe to assume Holmes’ main nemesis Professor Moriarty will be the villain, since he appeared in shadows in the first film. But more importantly, who will play him? SHH! has some unofficial rumors on three key, big name actors who might be up for the role:

First, let’s remember the early rumor of Brad Pitt playing Moriarty, but Ritchie has denied that bit. Instead, Moriarty might be played by Oscar winner Daniel Day-Lewis, or at least Ritchie hopes. Other contenders are Gary Oldman and Javier Bardem. We will be finding out soon, who will be a thorn in Holmes’ (a returning Robert Downey Jr.) and Watson’s (Jude Law) side.
