Who wants another Mannequin?

Within the heavy bowels of the cheesy eighties movies lies Mannequin, the story of an artist who decorates window displays at a local mall who discovers a mannequin that comes to life, claiming to be under a curse and from the Egyptian era. No, I’m not kidding about that short synopsis at all, for those of you who have never seen the 1987 movie. Mannequin is the latest feature to get the remake treatment, Lord knows why, and Gladden Entertainment has the entire project under their wing.

There’s no director or writers attached but the company is currently in the hunt to find one, reports Moviehole. Out of the mass of eighties remakes there are a couple that stand out and are due for an upcoming release date. One of them is the Chace Crawford starring Footloose which is expected to be released in June 18th of this year along with Red Dawn on November 24th.
