What would you think if Freddy Kruger was played by Rorschach?

Submitted by Daniel Herrera on February 12, 2009 – 6:32 pmOne Comment

After the shock of the casting wears off, I have to admit that it is a rather spot on casting decision.  According to the folks over at latinoReview, Watchmen and Little Children star Jackie Earle Haley, has been thought of for the part of Platinum Dunes upcoming A Nightmare on Elm Street remake as the titular star Freddy Kruger!

If the decision is made with Haley taking the part, what do you all think of this casting decision?

****UPDATE**** Newly announced director for the reboot, contacted Shocktillyoudrop’s Ryan Rotten and stated:  “I can absolutely deny [this rumor]. We have not chosen a Freddy Krueger we’re not even negotiating with anyone yet.”

i think this is great casting. jlh, god love him is a weird looking dude and has played a child molester before. i’d say he has a creep factor already in place so more power to him.
