What Stan ‘The Man’ Lee wants for Marvel
Stan Lee, co-creator of such wonderful Marvel comic characters like X-Men, The Fantastic Four and Spider-Man, has a few wishes he would like to have come true within the world of Marvel Enterprises. Once called Marvel Studios, Marvel Enterprises is the newly renamed production company that has spit out a many of awesome comic book adaptations. Here’s more on what Stan “The Man” Lee had to say about it to MTV Movies.:
“Doctor Strange I’m sure will be out. You probably know they’re working on Ant-Man now,” he added. “Every one of the Marvel characters, there’s somebody working on it. Somebody is trying to put together a story that will work.”
“It’s just a matter of time — they can only do so many a year,” he explained. “You don’t want to flood the market. I’m sure [they'll do] the Black Panther, eventually.”
And as comics fans are well aware, DC isn’t the only publisher with a famous WWII her in Sgt. Rock. Lee added his belief that Marvel’s very own head of the Howling Commandos could find his way to the big screen, too.
“If they ever want to do a war story, we have Sgt. Fury,” he said. “We already have Colonel Fury of S.H.I.E.L.D. who pops up in so many of these. In fact, there might one day be a S.H.I.E.L.D. movie.”
“It’s just a matter of them sitting down and saying, ‘What haven’t we done yet?’” he laughed.
At the moment the newest Marvel property to hit the big screen this May 7th is Iron Man 2. Along with that, there are several properties in development such as The First Avenger: Captain America, Luke Cage and Thor just to name a few.

I’ll have to add a correct and say the next Marvel movie is not Iron Man 2 but Kick-Ass which opens in April. Kick-Ass is published by Marvel’s imprint Icon Comics.

I understand that it was published under them but they are not promoting it when it comes to the actual film under their production company label. I look forward to both films though!

Disney bought Marvel and Stan has been working with them as well. 2010 should be great for Marvel, Disney, and Stan with more characters coming out on the big screen.
