Weaver turns to Vamps

Sigourney Weaver joins up on Amy Heckerling’s latest written/directed project called Vamps, says Coming Soon. The story centers on two female vampires in modern-day New York City are faced with daunting romantic possibilities. Already part of the cast is Alicia Silverstone and Krysten Ritter with Lauren Versel, Stuart Cornfeld and Molly Hassell producing the picture. Red Hour Films and Lucky Monkey Pictures are attached to the project that’s expected to start filming in May.

Amy Heckerling is best known for directing several popular films such as Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Clueless, Look Who’s Talking and A Night at the Roxbury. Weaver will be seen in a couple of films this year which include Paul and You Again.
