steve-carell_lWarner Bros Pictures want to use some of the star power that actor Steve Carell harnesses as they pick up a spec script for him to star in. The script in question was written up by Dan Fogelman, better known as the screenplay writer of Disney and Pixar’s Cars and Bolt. Carell will play a father whose life unravels while he deals with a marital crisis and tries to manage his relationship with his children (Variety). Carell with be producing along with Charlie Hartsock and Vance DeGeneres under his Carousel Productions label.

Carell has a pretty big bunch of movies on his slate nowadays, the most recent ones being the animated film Despicable Me and Date Night which co-stars Tina Fey. Yesterday Carell was mentioned to be possibly attached to Mail-Order Groom but that still remains to be seen.
