During last years San Diego Comic Con, attendees were surprised and amazed to bear witness to a test trailer for a sequel to the cult hit TRON.  The film was kept tightly under wraps and no one knew that the trailer was coming or the film being made.  In fact the film had not even been greenlit.  The footage shown during the con was actually test footage made for Disney to see if a sequel would work then shown to audiences to test their reaction.  Fair, to say the trailer was met with huge enthusiasm.

Now that the film has been greenlit and has commenced filming, word came today during the New York Comic Con that this years San Diego con will in fact be the world premiere of the official trailer with actual footage from the film.  During one of the panels for Radical Studios, Barry Levine stated:   Joseph Kosinski is directing Tron 2, and last year he did amazingly well at [San Diego Comic-Con] where he showed that test and had 6000 people show up. This year, he’s going to have a trailer, not of the entire film, but just what he’s been shooting. He started shooting in April, and given his pedigree and what I know about the film and what I know about Joe—the film will be amazing. So he’ll show that trailer there.
