Walking into Waska

Submitted by Melissa Molina on November 30, 2009 – 12:26 am2 Comments

waskaA couple of actors are making their way into the independent drama Waska. Kate Walsh and Jeremy Piven are joining up on the Gaby Dellal directed picture. Walsh and Piven both join up on the big cast that includes Thomas Dekker, Mira Sorvino, Elizabeth McGovern, Joseph Morgan and Lynn Collens. Story centers on a young father who loses his son, throwing the community into disarray at the time of Waska — the first snowfall of the year, which is magical but often treacherous (Variety).

Filming is currently underway with a possible late 2010 to early 2011 release date. Walsh will be appearing in the fantasy thriller Legion that will be out January 22nd. Jeremy Piven is going back into the voice acting chair as he lends it to the animation and live action hybrid film Marmaduke. If Jeremy Piven is possibly headlining so-to-speak this comedy this reporter really won’t expect much from this one trick pony of an actor.
