Wahlberg will not be in The Crow remake

About a month ago we gave you the news that The Crow remake had lost it’s director (here), and now comes the news that the film has also lost the star they were after. Mark Wahlberg has passed on the role of Eric Draven, he spoke to Cinematical about it: “We never committed to making the movie. They talked to me about it and there was a director (Stephen Norrington) attached who I was a fan of, and he’s no longer doing it. We just thought about it – ‘is there something cool to be done there?’ But we’re not committed to making the movie.

Now the film needs to find a new director and a new lead actor. This could definitely set the film back, but as the saying goes when there’s a will there’s a way. And I am sure they will find a way, remakes are all the rage these days whether we like it or not.
