Viola might be giving out some Help
Viola Davis could be the next to join the cast of the novel adapted feature The Help, directed by actor-turned-director Tate Taylor. If casted, she would take on the role of Aibileen, the maid with Emma Stone is eyeing the part of the writer. Producing the feature is Michael Barnathan, Mark Radcliffe and Chris Columbus under 1492 Pictures.
The Help is currently being written for the big screen by Tate Taylor off the novel by Kathryn Stockett. The story, set in Jackson, Miss., in the early 1960s, explores how the unspoken code of behavior governing Southern households is shattered when an aspiring writer interviews a maid, who speaks candidly about her experiences. The interview sets off shock waves that reverberate across the entire community (Variety).
Viola is going to appear in a few films within the remainder of this year, a couple of them being Knight and Day, Eat Pray Love and It’s Kind of a Funny Story.
