Vampire gets itself a cast

No, we are not talking about anything related to True Blood or Twilight. However we are mentioning the upcoming feature, being directed by Shunji Iwai, that’s literally called Vampire. A huge cast has been put together, filled with quite a few North American actors, that even include a couple of actors that may surprise you.

Those that are the latest to be added onto the cast include Rachael Leigh Cook and Keisha Castle-Hughes. Several others are attached to the cast like Adelaide Clemens, Trevor Morgan, Kristin Kreuk, Amanda Plummer, Yu Aoi and Kevin Zegers. Zegers plays a schoolteacher with a taste for human blood, who searches for suicidal young women as his victims; all of whom he falls in love with before their deaths (Screen Daily).

The picture was written by Shunji Iwai and is being produced by himself and Siew-Loong Tim Kwok. Filming is currently taking place on this production with no set date of release at the moment. Within the realm of what North American audiences have seen of Shunji Iwai’s work, he directed a segment of New York, I Love You which involved Orlando Bloom and Christina Ricci.
