Universal gets Larry Crowne
Today Universal Pictures is keeping themselves busy, grabbing the domestic distribution for the Tom Hanks directed film Larry Crowne. Hanks not only directs the picture, but he co-wrote the script with Nia Vardalos and is starring alongside Julia Roberts. The story is about a man that’s re-inventing his life (THR) and will be starting up principal photography this April in Los Angeles. Producing the picture is Hanks and Gary Goetzman under Playtone along with Vendome Pictures attached to help with financing.
Hanks can next be heard lending his voice to the upcoming Disney/Pixar Animation Studios picture Toy Story 3 which includes Tim Allen, Joan Cusack and others. He also just recently announced that he will be reprising his role as Robert Langdon in the third installment of the Da Vinci Code series entitled The Lost Symbol.
