Two writers hired for Clash of the Titans 2

It was announced earlier that Jonathan Liebesman will be directing the sequel to Legendary Pictures, Clash of the Titans. Now according to Heat Vision Blog, Warner Bros./Legendary Pictures have hired Dan Mazeau and David Leslie Johnson to pen the script to the upcoming sequel.

Mazeau and Johnson have both worked with Warner Bros. on separate projects. The two will be teaming with Greg Berlanti, who has been on board since the original film’s release.  They will be working on the treatment, then the screenplay for the film.

Production is expected to begin soon, before Sam Worthington starts work on Avatar 2.  Warner Bros. hopes this move will save time and guarantee a more cohesive story this time. The sequel will be shot in 3-D this time, instead of being converted in post-production. The studio is looking to release the film in spring of 2012.
