Two more victims join Scream 4

Ghostface is going to be busy doing a lot of killing in Wes Craven’s Scream 4.  We heard yesterday that Adam Brody, Marley Shelton and Erik Knudsen have joined the cast. Now, The Wrap reports that Mary McDonnell and Alison Brie have been confirmed for the film.

Alison Brie will play Rebbecca,  Sidney Prescott’s personal assistant, who “envies her boss’ reluctant fame and fortune.” There’s no word on what role McDonnel will play in the film. Also, Lauren Graham has been confirmed to have dropped out due to scheduling conflicts.

The script is being kept secret from the agencies and even the actors to keep the identity of the killer a secret. The film will re-unite with original cast members Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette, but will pass the torch to a new generation of victims. Wes Craven returns to direct and produce the film, along with Iya Labunka. Kevin Williamson, who wrote the first two films, is also returned to pen the screenplay. Filming is currently underway in Michigan.

Scream 4 will open on April 15, 2011.
