Two more join The Thing

John Carpenter’s The Thing remake continues on with it’s casting as Mary Elisabeth Winstead and Joel Edgerton both jump on board to star. The film is being directed by Matthijs Van Heijningen and is being written by Eric Heisserer and Ronald D. Moore.

Winstead will play a Ph.D. candidate who joins a Norwegian research team in Antarctica after it discovers an alien ship in the ice. When a trapped organism is freed and begins a series of attacks, she is forced to team with a blue-collar mercenary helicopter pilot (Edgerton) to stop the rampage (Heat Vision Blog).

Winstead will be seen next in the highly anticipated comic book adaptation of Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World that comes out on August 13th (finally).
