Two hop on Jane Eyre
Mia Wasikowska and Michael Fassbender are jumping on board yet another novel adaptation, this time in the form of Jane Eyre. The novel, originally written by Charlotte Bronte, tells the story of Jane (Wasikowska), a demure governess who discovers her surly employer Rochester (Fassbender) is harboring a dark secret (Variety). Write and director Cary Fukunaga will be helming the project. His previous work includes writing and directing the award winning Spanish film called Sin Nombre.
Wasikowska will next be seen on the big screen joining up with such big names like Johnny Depp in Tim Burton’s latest imaginative film Alice in Wonderland. Fassbender was previously seen in Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds and just finished wrapping filming on the western themed comic book adaptation of Jonah Hex.
