Two hold onto Lovelace

Jeffrey Friedman and Rob Epstein are teaming up once more to direct the independent biopic called Lovelace. The picture will be based off of the biographical novel The Complete Linda Lovelace written by Eric Danville, centering on iconic porn star Linda Lovelace of 1972′s “Deep Throat,” and her subsequent transformation into feminist, anti-porn activist Linda Marchiano (Variety). The script is penned by Merritt Johnson who also wrote several episodes of the hit HBO show In Treatment.

Producing the picture is Jim Young under Animus Films, Laura Rister at Untitled Entertainment and Heidi Jo Markel at Eclectic Pictures. Epstein and Freidman are expected to premiere their latest collaborative written and directed work Howl at Sundance Film Festival this Thursday night.
