Twilight Saga Casting Change

Submitted by Angie LeMoine on July 29, 2009 – 11:12 amNo Comment

87491-howard_bryce_dallas_341For Eclipse, the third film in the Twilight saga, Rachelle Lefevre will no longer be playing the role of Victoria. She is being replaced by Bryce Dallas Howard. Lefevre played Victoria in the first two films, Twilight and New Moon.

Summit Studio has stated that the change is due to scheduling conflicts. Lefevre will be filming the indie film Barney’s Version with Dustin Hoffman, which starts shooting on August 17 in Quebec. Eclipse starts shooting the same day in Vancouver.

The Eclipse story line includes Victoria’s attempt to kill heroine Bella (Kristin Stewart) to avenge the death of her mate James. Dallas Howard’s previous acting credits include Terminator Salvation and Spider-Man 3, among others.
