True Grit being remade by the Coen Brothers!!

The Coen Brothers continue their recent work influenced with westerns now with an upcoming adaptation of the classic True Grit which originally won John Wayne his first and only Oscar.  The remake though will be vastly different as the story will be told through the child’s point of view as opposed to being a vehicle for John Wayne to star in (duh).  The original film had the child played by Golden Globe nominee Kim Darby.

The film will be written and directed by the Coen Brothers and again produced by their frequent collaborator and Oscar winner Scott Rudin through Dreamworks pictures.
