Tron Legacy brings in the $$$ for midnight showings

Tron: Legacy has done well with it’s midnight shows, making a total of $3.6 million across 2,000 theaters, with 228 of those IMAX theaters (making $1 million on those screens). This actually exceeds what Avatar grossed with midnight shows the same time last year, Avatar made $3.5 million. This surely is good news for Disney, it’ll be interesting to see what the total box office intake is for this weekend.
