Tree of Life not hitting theaters this year

Submitted by Daniel Herrera on October 16, 2009 – 7:00 amNo Comment

In what is probably one of the more predictable news to come around, we learn that the brilliant Terrence Malick will not have his upcoming film The Tree Of Life starring Brad Pitt and Sean Penn hit theaters this year.  Malick, is infamous for taking years on a project, and even longer in between them.

We learn from the film’s distributor Apparition, that the film is now out of this year’s Oscar race and may likely make its debut at the 2010 Cannes Film Festival, in that the studio states the film’s release in 09′ was : “wishful. It’s definitely not going to come out this year.”
