Tom Hardy and Angelina Jolie for Snow White and The Huntsman
Tom Hardy is quickly becoming famous after his performances in Bronson and Christopher Nolan’s Inception. He’s already has the honor of being the first actor to be cast in Nolan’s Batman 3 (here), and is cast in the lead of George Miller’s Mad Max: Fury Road, which has been postponed until 2012. Now, he’s looking to join the cast of Snow White and The Huntsman.
According to What’s Playing, Universal is quickly moving forward with the film, and casting is already underway. Tom Hardy is eying to star in one of the lead roles of The Huntsman. Hardy is close to signing a deal and is making room in his schedule to shoot early next year. It’s unknown if filming would coincide with Batman 3, and is uncertain just how big of a role he has in Nolan’s film. Hardy is also competing for the lead in Len Wiseman’s Total Recallremake, but Collin Farrell may end up getting that job (here).
As for the film’s villain, Angelina Jolie is being considered for the role of Revenna, the evil queen. Although, it’s uncertain if she’ll be available to star as she’s currently filming an untitled Bosnian War movie, and is also starring as the lead in Tim Burton’s Maleficent (here), which ironically is based off a classic fairy-tale. The role of Snow White is currently being looked into, and the studio could be going with an unknown actress for the part. The story is said to remain true to the classic tale, but is keeping it original at the same time. Production is looking to begin early next next year.
